Lukman Faily currently works as the official spokesman for the President of the Republic of Iraq Dr Barham Salih. Before that, he served as the Ambassador of Iraq to the United States. He has been a high-profile spokesperson for his government, engaging with high-level political institutions, academia and think tank communities and trade.

 He has regular presence on American, British, Arab and Iraqi media, television and radio networks and social media. He served previously as Iraq’s ambassador to Japan for three years.
