His Excellency Lukman Abdul Faily participates in the ceremony held at the University of Potsdam

       On December 1, 2021, His Excellency Ambassador Luqman Abdul Rahim Al-Faili had participated in the ceremony held at the University of Potsdam to present the book (Genocide against the Yazidis 2014/2015) written by an Iraqi researcher Daoud Murad Khatari with a number of German researchers. The book was published in German. It documents the crimes committed by the terrorist entity of ISIS against the Yazidi component.


      The symposium was attended by a number of the Yazidi diaspora in Germany and from Iraq such as, Dr. Hans-Georg Wolf, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Potsdam, Dr. Muhammad Taha from "Tchek" International University in Erbil, and Mr. Fanar Ruffo from the Catholic University in Erbil, in addition to a number of researchers and Iraqi and German academic figures.

      His Excellency L. Faily has delivered a speech during the symposium, in which he welcomed such kind of publications, and expressed the Iraqi government's solidarity with the Yazidi component due to injustice and oppression they were subjected to, and expressed his readiness to provide all assistance to them, adding that the doors of the Iraqi embassy in Berlin are always open to them.
      H.E. L. Faily explained the importance of documenting these crimes and the societal review of this tragedy, which helps not to repeat it, indicating the importance of diversity and coexistence, and this is what has characterized Iraq since ancient times.
