The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Berlin participates in the economic symposium held by the German Liaison Office for Industry and Trade in Iraq

           The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Berlin H.E. Lukman Faily participated in the economic symposium held by the German Liaison Office for Industry and Trade in Iraq and affiliated to the German Chambers of Commerce abroad (AHK), via video technology, with the participation of the German Ambassador in Baghdad Martin Jaeger, a number of economists and representatives of German companies.

During the symposium, they discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, Iraq's accession to the Paris Climate Agreement, as well as the economic reforms that Iraq seeks in the future through the implementation of the "white paper" paragraphs.
Ambassador L. Faily affirmed that Iraq is open to building a strong partnership with Germany, especially in the field of energy, and that the embassy will continue to facilitate the work of German companies, as well as looking into increasing trade exchange between the two countries.

For his part, the newly joined German ambassador to Iraq, H.E. Martin Jaeger, confirmed that Germany will intensify its efforts to push for strengthening bilateral economic relations, expressing his invitation to German companies to participate in the economic exhibitions and seminars held by Iraq.
